How it started

Our History

CF Rail Services traces its roots back to 1928, when an entrepreneur named Fred H. Sasser started his business providing railcar service to farms along the Illinois Northern Railway. The company that would eventually grow out of this business, Sasser Family Companies, provides us with the values, stability, resources, and support that allow us to invest in better ways to improve our operations – ultimately, delivering greater value to your business.
